Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?

Short formal season is walk-in friendly—no appointment needed! If you’d like extra time or want to come with a group, you can still book a fitting.

PROM season is much busier, please book an appointment to save your spot and guarantee a fitting room. Prom appointments are 45 minutes and free to book.

Our fitting area is cozy, so we ask that you only bring 1-2 guests to your prom appointment. This helps us create the best experience for all customers.

What should I bring?

Bring shoes with a little heel (3–4 inches) so we can check the prom gown hem length.

Dress Try-On Guidelines:

Try-ons are for serious shopping only. We kindly ask guests arrive ready to purchase if they find “the one”.

Each guest may try on up to 6 dresses per appointment-We will help you narrow selections to make the most of your time.

A stylist will assist with zipping and tying gowns to protect closures and corsets.

Minimal makeup and clean heels are required to keep gowns in perfect condition.

Please refrain from filming or TikToks during try-ons.

Do you accept cash or checks?

Emma’s Formal is a cash-free boutique. We accept all major debit and credit cards.
Cash and checks are not accepted, thank you for understanding!

We gladly offer a PROM Layaway option for long gowns. A 50% deposit secures your dress, and the remaining balance is due within 30 days. All deposits are nonrefundable.

What is your refund policy?

All Sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
